Since The Malt Shop opened we have believed in serving the best burgers and best ice cream made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Our restaurant has endured the decades since the journey began in 1973 when our founder, Richard Henke, started grilling burgers and making malts for family and friends.

Our restaurant has endured the decades since the journey began in 1973 when our founder, Richard Henke, started grilling burgers and making malts for family and friends.
Today, The Malt Shop is a still independently owned and operated. We serve Minnesota's best shake and Minneapolis' favorite malt.
The building has received some updates over the years, Ryan Braski took over ownership and enjoys being a local Lynnhurst resident commited to keeping the lore alive.
