Our Story
The Malt Shop has been part of the Lynnhurst, Minneapolis neighborhood since opening in 1973.
The Lynnhurst Neighborhood offers the best of city living for residents and visitors alike. Our beautiful natural setting on the southeast side of Lake Harriet offers numerous recreational opportunities, both around the lake and on Minnehaha Creek, which runs through the neighborhood.
We support our community through donations to the Lynnhurst neighborhood association, fundraisers and donations to local schools including Burroughs Elementary, Barton Elementary, Hale Elementary, Armitage Elementary, Kenny, Elementary, Annunciation, Lake Harriet Community School, Justice Page Middle School, Southwest High School, Washburn High School, Holy Angels, Edina, Richfield, Bloomington and many others.
Our Neighbors
We believe that being part of our local community is key to enhance the vibrancy of our neighborhood. We host the Tangletown neighborhood holiday party, Minneapolis United Soccer board meetings, as well as many other community organizations from Linden Hills, Lake Harriet, Bde Maka Ska, Fulton, Windom and many other parts of the great city Minneapolis and our wonderful neighbors in Edina, Richfield, & Bloomington.
We are conveniently located near both the Grand Rounds/Minnehaha Creek & Bryant bike trails allowing an easy commute by bike year-round.
Our Team
Our team is made up of passionate individuals, we are thrilled many team members have parents and grandparents that have served our guests over the years. Located next to George and The Dragon we serve our Lynnhurst Minneapolis neighbors every day.
